Lewis Hamilton Wins the 2008 British Grand Prix
The 2008 British Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 6 July 2008 at the Silverstone Circuit. The race was the ninth round of the 2008 Formula One season and was won by Lewis Hamilton of the McLaren team. Hamilton started the race from pole position and led every lap of the race to take his third victory of the season and the first victory of his career at his home race.
The race was held in wet and treacherous conditions, with heavy rain falling throughout the race. This led to a number of incidents, including a first-lap collision between Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, which forced both drivers to retire from the race. The conditions also led to a number of other drivers crashing out of the race, including Kimi Räikkönen, Heikki Kovalainen, and Jarno Trulli.
Despite the difficult conditions, Hamilton was able to maintain his lead throughout the race and take the victory.
